They were both also at Wembley last Sunday (May 28) alongside some other familiar faces as Wrexham unfortunately lost out 1-0 to Bromley in the FA Trophy final.

Trips to the club's Racecourse ground have been a regular occurance for the star owners too and, earlier today, McElhenney was once again spotted in town.

The 'It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia' actor posed for a picture with some of the Wrexham Glyndwr University team.

The University's marketing manager Antonia Merola Jones posted the photo above to her Twitter account.

McElhenney also posed for further pictures with supporters who were outside the neighbouring Racecourse ground.

It is not known why McElhenney was in town but it is rumoured that it was as part of an upcoming documentary on Wrexham AFC.

The floodlights were lit up at the Racecourse late on Wednesday evening with film crews spotted in the area.
