AN EIGHT-year-old girl has sent a touching letter about the people of Ukraine to a Wrexham-based firm.

Residents, charities and business alike throughout North Wales have rallied together to support refugees following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Wockhardt UK, based at the Wrexham Industrial Estate on Ash Road, is one of those who have been collecting donations which are being shipped to Ukrainian refugees.

They are receiving donations from other collection points in the area, and Wockhardt UK is the last stop before it gets taken away in lorries.

In one package, they received a letter from a young local girl called Poppy.

A spokesperson for Wockhardt UK said: "Wockhardt doesn't know Poppy, but they'd like to thank her for sending a heartfelt message to the people of Ukraine and wishing them well."

The heartfelt letter reads: "Dear everyone in Ukraine. My family and school think of you every day. We hope you are ok.

"I am going tell you a bit about me. My name is Poppy, I am eight, I am in year three. I have two pets, a dog and a rabbit. I love animals, I love the dogs the most. My nana grandad have a cat.
