A LUXURIOUS train will be passing through the region this summer with the opportunity to travel on to the English Riviera.

The iconic Midland Pullman will journey through Wrexham on the morning of Wednesday, June 21, as it takes its passengers on a journey through some of most picturesque parts of the country.

During the luxury tour, visitors will get the opportunity to stop in the afternoon for a sightseeing break of three hours in the seaside resorts of either Torquay or Paignton.

A spokesperson for Midland Pullman said: "Join us for a wonderful day out with a journey through stunning Somerset and around the beautiful Devon coast.

"Discover the many charms of the 'English Riviera' with an afternoon sightseeing break of around three hours in the seaside resorts of either Torquay or Paignton.

"Travelling alongside the stunning Exe Estuary past Powderham Castle there are magnificent views across to the Jurassic coast.

"Our train takes the exciting sea wall line racing through tunnels and cuttings of red rock and along beaches and coves at Dawlish with the sea keeping company all the way to Newton Abbot."

But the journey does not come cheap with the dining experience starting at £350.

This will include a glass of chilled buck’s fizz, followed by a full English breakfast and late morning coffee or tea service, served with pastries prior to arrival.

After the afternoon sightseeing stop travellers will be able to enjoy a glass of champagne and a selection of canapes.

This will all be followed by an exquisite five-course seasonal dinner, created by the Executive Chef, and it will include the Great British cheese board, biscuits and chutney, and half a bottle of Sommelier’s choice per person.

For a cheaper experience, passengers can opt for the First Class, non-dining offer, for £185.
