AKIL WRIGHT is looking for more of the same from Wrexham after finally ending the away-day hoodoo.

The Reds, without a league win on their travels since they triumphed 2-1 at Dagenham on October 13, celebrated a 3-2 victory over Havant and Waterlooville at Westleigh Park on Saturday.

Trailing 1-0 at the break, Wrexham scored three goals in a scintillating opening 15 minutes of the second half to register a third successive win.

Wrexham have another away game at Boreham Wood tomorrow, where victory will take Bryan Hughes' side top of the table, and at Gateshead on Saturday, and Wright wants the Reds to pick up where they left off.

"I didn't know October was the last time we won away in the league so that is even better," said Wright.

"Fair play to Havant, they are down there but they gave us a right game.

"We came out all guns blazing in the second half, they couldn't get near us. Thankfully all that pressure paid off and we got those three goals.

"They scored a second goal and it changed the game again but we stuck in there like we always do and managed to get the win.

"We have got two more away games coming up so we need to make sure we maintain what we did at Havant and take it into the Boreham Wood game.

"We can beat anyone on our day. It will be a tricky game but I am sure we can come out with three points if we are all at it."

Wrexham were the only side who started the day in the top-seven that won and the second placed Reds are just two points behind leaders Solihull.

"The teams around us either lost or dropped points which is another positive," said Wright.

"We take that into our game in hand on Solihull and hopefully get the three points at Boreham Wood to put us back on top of the league."

Wright squandered four good chances the previous weekend when Wrexham won 1-0 against Dagenham but the midfielder scored the second goal at Havant, and was delighted to get on the scoresheet.

"Last week I was massively disappointed but you don't look back," said Wright.

"You move forward onto the next game and thankfully when the chance fell to me, I scored.

"I had a chance before then and I was thinking 'this isn't my day again', it was a decent save, but I put the next one away so I am over the moon.

"The most important thing is we won the game."

Hughes was delighted to see Wright notch his third goal of the season.

"It is massive for him," said Hughes.

"I said last week I would be more disappointed if he wasn't in them positions.

"He found himself in some really good positions, he had some really powerful runs in the second half.

"He definitely had a strong second half and took his goal really well."

Hughes confirmed that he has extended the loan of Tranmere winger Ben Tollitt, who has started both games since he took charge of Wrexham.

"We are keeping Ben for another 28 days," said Hughes.

"He is a talented boy. He has got a lot of ability, probably needs a little bit more guidance which I am trying to give him; getting him in the right areas where he can be effective.

"But he is getting there slowly but surely. He looked a bit leggy late on, I was going to take him off but he is such a threat with his pace and his willingness to run at defenders.

"Another solid game for Ben."
