WREXHAM weren't the only team who have experienced mixed results during a busy festive period but Graham Barrow is disappointed they weren't able to build-on their wins.

The Reds ended 2018 with impressive victories against title-rivals Salford City and Solihull Moors but go into today's clash against AFC Fylde on the back of four successive defeats this year.

Still in the promotion mix, Barrow is looking for a positive reaction from his players.

"It just seemed to be play, play, play, and no preparation time," said Barrow.

"You look through the leagues and apart from Manchester United, nobody went win, win, win, win, win. Everybody seemed to have their problems.

"We accept that as being part of the reason but I still don't accept it myself when you look at where we were in the league and the start we had.

"I thought we should have kicked on really if I am being honest but that is just me. That is how I felt and you want everybody to feel the same way.

"But we still come out of it in a great position; there has been talking, there has been hard work but it is time for the hard work to stop and action. We have got to get going."
