THE North Wales coast teams are the early pacesetters in the Welsh Counties Bowls League.
Min-y-Don lead the way after a 9-1 thrashing of champions Cunliffe for whom Robin Bennett saved them from an embarrassing whitewash.
Robert Pierce, Steve Dave and Scott Parry enjoyed good wins over Jordan Riley, Martin Jones and Paul Hallett (pictured above).
Abergele are second after battering Beaumaris 9-1 while Rhos Park’s 7-3 win over Broughton pushing them up to third.
Chris Barton, Andy Hamman and Francis Penlington were the three winners for Broughton, who are fourth in the table.
Gresford Colliery showed the North East Wales teams how to do it with an 8-2 home victory against Llanrwst. Amanda Nicholas (21-8) and Dave Morris (21-9) were their top blocks.
