Buckley Town will play a fundraising match in memory of a supporter who died earlier this year.

A regular at Buckley's home games, 39-year-old Jamie Iball died in April and the club have scheduled a memorial match in his honour.

The Bucks will line up against a Jamie Iball XI side comprised of Mr Iball's friends and family at The Globe on Sunday, July 28.

A statement issued by Buckley Town officials said: "Earlier this year, the family, the town and wider community were shocked and saddened to hear the news of the passing of the well known and loved, Jamie.

"Jamie could frequently be found at The Globe supporting the players and the club, and will no doubt be a miss in seasons to come.

"A much loved and missed father, son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, nephew, cousin, and friend, with all proceeds from the day to go to Jamie’s family."

Refreshments are available at the 2.30pm kick-off, which has a £2 admission charge.
