HARRY WILSON has come to the aid of hometown club Corwen by donating the shirt he wore as Wales beat Slovakia to their fund-raising efforts.
Corwen juniors, where Wilson learned the game, have been affected by this month's floods in north Wales as the River Dee burst its banks.
Pitches were flooding and playing equipment was damaged, leaving Corwen's youngsters to play their home games at the local leisure centre and in Ruthin.
Over £2,200 of a £10,000 target has been donated to date with an auction for the shirt worn by Wilson, on-loan at Derby County from Liverpool, expected to further boost the coffers.
Corwen juniors twitter feed read: "@corwenjuniorsfc & @CorwenFC have been donated this shirt worn in today’s match by @harrywilson_ signed by the rest of the team up for auction to raise funds for our flood disaster. serious bids to @iananthonyevans please #TogetherStronger"
