Andy Thomas says there is no panic among the Airbus squad following their recent winless run.

The league leaders have seen their advantage at the summit cut to seven points after three successive draws and host fifth-placed Rhyl on Saturday.

Assistant manager Thomas said: “It’s still in our hands and the confidence levels haven’t dropped.

"We’ve been the better team in each of these last few games but haven’t taken our chances.

"We’re defending well, but we’ve been caught out by some set-plays that have cost us. We just need to tighten and get that ruthlessness back in front of goal.”

Midfielders Joe Palmer and Curtis Strong return for the hosts.

Meanwhile Flint Town United boss Niall McGuinness hopes to heap more pressure on league rivals Airbus this weekend.

After winning three of the last four games, the second-placed Silkmen have emerged as the primary rivals to Airbus' title ambitions.

McGuinness accepts that the Wingmakers remain favourites for title glory, but hopes his side can capitalise on any lapses in form.

Speaking ahead of Saturday's trip to Conwy Borough, he said: "All we can do is put as many points on the board as possible and hope that other results go our way.

"We have gained some ground on Airbus, but they're still in the driving seat and it's theirs to lose.

"They've dropped points lately and hopefully the pressure will keep growing in the next few weeks to keep things interesting.

"We can't be too distracted by that, though and are fully focused on trying to beat a very good Conwy side.

"I watched their game against Bangor and was quite impressed with them and we need to go there with the right attitude."

Midfielder Ged Kinsella is Flint's only injury doubt for the clash at Y Morfa.

Steve Halliwell attributes Gresford Athletic’s 11-game unbeaten streak to the unity within his squad.

After a patchy start to the season the resurgent Colliers have climbed to sixth in the table and host Llanrhaeadr tomorrow.

Halliwell said: “These lads don’t know when they’re beaten and in the last couple of months they’ve produced some brilliant performances.

“Even when we’ve had key players missing, everyone’s put a shift in and played in unfamiliar positions when they’ve been asked. It’s great to see that commitment from them and a great spirit in the dressing room.

“We’ve got a few lads coming back into the squad now and we’re in decent shape for Llanrhaeadr.”

Tom Freeman, Joe Newton, Jack Chaloner and Jack Jones all return for the hosts, though Jordan MacCarter is suspended.

Bangor City face Ruthin Town on Friday night in a clash to be played at Llandudno. Saturday’s games see Porthmadog visit Denbigh Town, Holyhead Hotspur host Guilsfield and Prestatyn Town go to Penrhyncoch.
