NATASHA THOMAS can’t wait for Wrexham’s big Adran Premier clash with Cardiff City on Sunday.

Jenny Sugarman’s Reds and the Bluebirds were the top two teams in the top flight last season and they will meet at the Cardiff City Stadium in a pivotal clash.

Jamaica international Thomas, who joined Wrexham from Ipswich Town over the summer, is looking forward to what should be a cracking match-up.

She told the club: “Honestly, I’m really looking forward to it.

“I’ve been told all about these derbies and what the game brings, and what it means to the badge as well.

“So, for me, I just want to make sure that I can play at my best as well to help the team and get those three points on the board.”

Thomas has certainly made her mark in front of goal since signing for the team. She scored one of the goals when Wrexham beat FC Pyunik 4-2 in the club’s first ever game in the UEFA Champions League.

Last Sunday, Thomas came up with Wrexham’s opening goal in their comfortable 4-0 success at home to Aberystwyth Town to start the league campaign.

Cardiff lost out 3-1 away to Swansea in their Adran Premier opener.
