IT was honours even as the Welsh derby between Swansea City and Wrexham ended in a goalless draw.
Neither side created anything in the first half before Phil Parkinson's side, who won their first Championship game 3-0 at Millwall on Wednesday, had two good chances to take the lead after the break at The swansea.com Stadium
Unbeaten Swansea had a late opportunity to snatch victory but both teams had to settle for a point in the end and the Swans remain top of the table, with Wrexham 10th and five points behind the leaders after five games.
Parkinson made five changes from the side which started the win at Millwall, and they were all like-for like.
The goalkeeper, back three and two holding midfielders remained the same with the changes in both wing-back positions, the two number 10 roles and in attack.
Danny Impray, Ryan Longman, Ollie Rathbone, Callum O'Hare, who was handed his debut after joining from Sheffield United on deadline day, and Sam Smith took over from Issa Kabore, Jacques Ekomie, Josh Windass, Liam O'Brien and Kieffer Moore, who were all named among the substitutes.
Although Swansea saw a lot of the ball, a couple of promising breaks by Wrexham came to nothing in the opening quarter of an hour.
For all of Swansea's possession, they didn't create anything or hurt Wrexham and wayward passing stifled the Reds' progress.
O'Hare rode a challenge after receiving Imray's cross into the area but he was quickly crowded out while there was a half-chance for Swansea when Melker Widell's shot was blocked following Eom Ji-Sung's cross into the box.
It remained all-square at the break but Wrexham almost took the lead five minutes into the second half with the first clear cut opportunity.
A long ball over the top was nodded down by Smith for O'Hare who took a touch before firing narrowly wide.
After Parkinson made four changes in one go, there was another chance for Wrexham when Windass' cross/shot fell for Cleworth who failed to convert from close range.
As the game entered the last 10 minutes, Swansea had their best opening of the game when Moussa Yeo crossed from the left but Zan Vipotnik's effort was saved by Reds' keeper Anthony Patterson.
Joseph Opoku shot straight at Patterson in added time while Moore's low effort was gathered by Swans keeper Lawrence Vigouroux and it finished in a draw.
