IT’S not great for the old health that Wrexham’s last two trips to South Wales have witnessed late drama.
Arthur Okonkwo’s pre-Christmas gift handed Swansea a 2-1 win late last year, while Rubin Colwill’s 98th minute free kick salvaged a point for Cardiff City during the opening weekend of the Championship campaign.
Expect drama once more at the Swansea.com Stadium tomorrow night, but it’s the turn of Phil Parkinson’s side to be smiling when the final whistle is sounded on this occasion.
Confidence will have increased in the Reds’ camp on the back of their fine success at Millwall, but it’s a quick turnaround for tomorrow’s match, against a side that has had an additional 24 hours of rest and recuperation.
Vítor Matos’ outfit are on some run to start the campaign, though, and they’ll be a tough nut to crack. Just one goal conceded in the league so far points to the task that faces Parkinson’s team, but Anthony Patterson has picked up his first clean sheet for the Reds, who were solid at The Den.
Add to that the threat posed from Wrexham’s all-action wing backs and it could well be a decent night.
