JAMIE EL-KALEH is delighted to have “true ambassador” Ben Evans back on board at North Wales Crusaders.
Welsh international Evans has been appointed as the club’s new chief executive officer and he will be looking to help the Crusaders to finish their testing year off on a high. North Wales have four games remaining to complete their Championship campaign, with the run starting at home to Doncaster on Sunday.
Chairman Jamie El-Kaleh told the club’s website: “I couldn’t be more proud to announce Ben Evans as our new CEO.
“Having worked closely on shaping where we want to take this club, I know first-hand that Ben is the perfect person to drive our vision forward both on and off the field.
“He is a true ambassador for Welsh rugby, someone who deeply understands the heart and history of our club, and a sharp, business-savvy leader who knows what it takes to elevate us to the next level.
“We have some incredibly exciting developments ahead, and under Ben’s leadership, we are fully committed to building a sustainable future and growing rugby league right across Wales for the long term.”
It will be a tough task for Cru versus sixth-placed Doncaster and they will be looking to build on the positive display produced in last weekend’s defeat versus Goole Vikings.
