A COUPLE of new additions are to boost North Wales Crusaders’ ranks through until the end of the season.
It’s been a tough year so far for Crusaders, but they are now on the final month of their Championship campaign.
The club has confirmed that Levy Nzoungou will be with North Wales until the end of the 2026 campaign.
The powerful forward linked up with the first team squad ahead of Sunday’s 68-6 defeat to Goole Vikings and he will add further strength, experience and physicality as the Crusaders prepare for the remaining fixtures of the season.
Nzoungou is already familiar with the club and its supporters, having previously represented the Crusaders and everyone at the club is pleased to welcome him back to North Wales.
His return to the set-up certainly provides another important boost to the playing squad as the club continues to strengthen its options and build momentum during the closing stages of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Joe Hickey has also joined Crusaders on loan for the remainder of the 2026 season.
Hickey, who was in the starting line-up against Goole, has made the loan move from Rochdale Hornets until the conclusion of the season.
The 19-year-old was an impressive figure with Warrington Wolves’ reserve side last year, during which time he helped the team to reach the reserves’ Grand Final.
In all, Hickey made 12 appearances during the 2025 reserve campaign and he proceeded to score three tries.
Hickey played his part in what was a promising team display from North Wales up against Goole.
Jeylan Hodgson and Leroy Ncube both secured hat-tricks for the Vikings, while Crusaders’ bright spot came with 10 minutes remaining.
Matty Welham raced away for Crusaders’ solitary try of the afternoon.
