WHILE the men’s team have had a break from action, things have continued to be busy for North Wales Crusaders.
The club’s women’s team were involved in a tight contest with York Acorn, who eventually managed to run out 20-18 winners.
A Cru statement said: “A hard-fought battle that came down to the final whistle.
“Plenty of positives to build on, and the effort, commitment and resilience shown by this squad never stopped.
“We’ll regroup, learn, and come back stronger.”
There was a victory for North Wales Crusaders’ wheelchair team to celebrate. In their first ever meeting with Wakefield Trinity, it was North Wales who came out on top 88-14.
Mike Grady’s men’s team are all set for their return to Championship action this weekend.
Next up is Sunday’s trip to Salford, who are 11th in the standings and they are within touching distance of securing a spot in the end-of-season play-offs.
Crusaders’ next home match-up will be against fifth-placed Widnes Vikings on Sunday, July 12.
