NORTH WALES CRUSADERS are to conduct a review into the performance of the side during their latest Championship defeat.
Mike Grady’s side suffered a 94-0 reverse in their meeting with Halifax Panthers during a warm Sunday at Colwyn Bay’s Stadiwm Eirias.
Crusaders are still searching for their first triumph since coming under new ownership and there is now a break prior to North Wales’ return to action at Salford on July 5.
Reflecting on the latest defeat, a Crusaders’ statement said: “Today’s result was a total embarrassment.
“Conceding more than 90 points on our home ground is completely unacceptable, and we will not hide from that reality. A comprehensive review of everything that happened on the field will begin immediately.
“First and foremost, we are a rugby club. While defeats are part of sport, the manner of a defeat matters.
“Today, we fell drastically short of the effort, pride and standards expected when representing North Wales Crusaders.
“Words alone will not put this right. We must take responsibility, learn from what happened and show a meaningful response through our actions and performances. The positives from today came entirely off the field.”
There is one Championship encounter lined up this evening, with Midlands Hurricanes at home to Goole Vikings.
