SEAN LONG has highlighted the need for hard work and being patient as North Wales Crusaders continue their development.
It’s been a welcome return to action for Crusaders on the back of a troubled campaign and they are now looking forward to their homecoming on Sunday.
After back-to-back away games in their return to action under new ownership, Crusaders are now looking forward to Sunday’s home clash with Salford.
Last time out, Crusaders bagged two tries in their 108-10 defeat at Batley Bulldogs and head coach Long said: “I said to the lads after the game in terms of training and playing hours, this team which is inexperienced in the main at this level have had four-to-six hours max on the grass together and we all need to be really patient with this rebuild and understand where we currently are.
“Rashness and panic here would only serve to put us back in the positions we found ourselves in five weeks ago, therefore we will be patient, we will work hard and we fully understand that these hard-working foundations that are being laid now by good, honest, hard-working people will give us a solid foundation going forward.
“It will once again get players, supporters and stakeholders to see that we are a club that they can enjoy being around and, above all else, once again garner people’s trust.”
