SEAN LONG has highlighted gradual improvements as North Wales Crusaders get set for their return to action.
The revamped Crusaders are just dealing in away days at present and next up is Sunday’s Championship trip to tackle Batley Bulldogs.
This is Long’s second away match as Cru head coach and he has been strengthening the squad since the 80-0 loss versus Goole Vikings a fortnight ago.
“It’s one per cent every time,” said Long (pictured above), who is looking forward to seeing how his side performs at Batley.
“If we can score a few points, I would be absolutely buzzing.”
Long has had a fortnight to prepare for Sunday’s match-up, which was in stark contrast to his first game at the helm against Goole.
He had just a matter of days to get a new-look team together, but things are already looking more positive ahead of the next run-out.
“We have got middles on the bench and we had one at Goole,” he added.
Long has been handed the head coach role at Crusaders through until the end of the campaign, alongside assistant Martin Fisher.
