MOLD are already league champions - and now they’re gunning to make progress in the cup.

It’s been quite the season for Mold, whose 100 per cent winning record has seen them take the Division Two North crown.

A spot in the semi-finals of the Division Two North Cup is at stake at Abergele tomorrow.

In Division One North, third-placed Caernarfon are at home to COBRA, while Llangefni travel to Llandudno.

RGC have enjoyed a terrific return to Super Rygbi Cymru action - and they will be seeking a third win on the bounce tomorrow.

The North Walians have made the most of home comforts over recent weeks, with cracking victories against Carmarthen Quins and Aberavon.

These have moved RGC into the top-six ahead of tomorrow’s encounter with Ebbw Vale, which will be their final away match of the regular season.

A positive outcome will go a long way to booking a week off when the play-offs get underway later this month, but it will be a tough task at the league leaders, who have lost just three matches this season.

Teams in the top-six will sit out the first round of the play-offs on April 18 and they will take to the field for the quarter-finals the following weekend.

Carmarthen Quins, RGC’s rivals to finish in sixth, host Aberavon, Bridgend go to Swansea and basement side Pontypool are at home to Llandovery.
