IT will be all change when Wrexham face Preston North End at Deepdale tonight in the Carabao Cup second round.
Phil Parkinson named a completely different starting XI for the first round clash with Hull City which ended in a 3-3 draw, with the Reds progressing after winning the penalty shoot-out.
Wrexham, still looking for their first Championship win of the season after drawing 2-2 with Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, face Millwall this weekend before going two weeks without a game because of the international break.
Parkinson hopes players coming into the side make the most of their opportunity and stake claims for a starting place in the league.
"We will make changes - I'm sure Preston will - but those changes will be based on the team I feel is going to get us a result," said Parkinson.
"Leading up to this first international break, it is a bit of a line in the sand period because it is all about getting as many players ready as possible and getting everybody minutes.
"We made changes against Hull, it was a very entertaining game and a lot of the lads did well.
"It is a chance again for other players, not just to get us through to the next round, but to stake a claim for the weekend.
"When players aren't in the starting XI, the best way to do your talking is out on the football pitch and it is an opportunity for players to stake a claim for a start in the league as well and show that they want to be up for selection for the Millwall game."
New signing Callum Doyle, brought in from Manchester City for an undisclosed fee, was an unused substitute against Wednesday and the centre-back could make his debut.
"I think you saw a lot of tired legs out on the pitch (against Wednesday) and sometimes the best way to progress in these competitions is to freshen the team up, especially early in the season," said Parkinson
"We'll have a look at big Callum and make a decision on him."
Preston are unbeaten after three Championship games and Parkinson is expecting a tricky test.
"Preston have had a good start, a great win at the weekend against Ipswich," said Parkinson.
"They are an established Championship club and it will be a great test for us, similar to the Hull game.
"We are going there all out to get through."
