THE promotion push is the priority but Elliot Lee won't turn his nose up at the EFL Trophy - especially with Wrexham just three wins away from a possible Wembley appearances.
Phil Parkinson's men face Port Vale at Vale Park tonight in a round of 16 tie, with a home clash against Bolton Wanderers the reward for the winners.
The Reds' boss has utilised his squad in the competition this season and given fringe players a run-out, although some of his regulars have been named on the substitutes bench.
Whatever role he plays this evening, Lee wants to build on Saturday's 2-1 win at Crawley in League One and continue progressing in the Trophy.
"The mentality fed down from the gaffer and everywhere at the club is we want to win every game so it will be a strong team whatever team he puts out there," said the playmaker.
"We're all looking forward to it and if there's a chance to play at Wembley and win some silverware at the end of it, who's going to turn that down?
"We've got a strong squad so all the lads are chomping at the bit to play and that's another chance for the lads to prove how good they are and hopefully get another win."
Matty James gave Wrexham the perfect start at The Broadfield Stadium when he scored after just 62 seconds but Crawley equalised in the 90th minute with a spectacular strike.
Lee had only just come on but the Reds' substitute secured all three points when he headed home Ryan Longman's cross in the fifth minute of injury time, and he hailed the never-say-die attitude in the ranks.
"It was a great end to the match," said the 30-year-old.
"Obviously it was disappointing to come on and then they score straight away. It's not a nice feeling.
"But this team never stops and there's always a feeling with this group that we can do something.
"I heard Steven Fletcher say to Jay Rodriguez at the end of the game: 'Welcome to Wrexham, this is what happens'.
"I've been here for two-and-a-half years now and things like this happen because of the group we've got and the staff we have.
"We don't stop believing and even if we concede in the last minute like that, we'll try and score in the last second which is what we've done and it is credit to the group.
"I think we've got a well deserved three points."
Lee scored in front of nearly 1,000 Wrexham fans who made the long trip and he said: "Its an incredible feeling to score in the last minute.
"A winner, not just an equaliser, and in front of the travelling support.
"An unbelievable feeling and one I'll treasure for a long time."
Wrexham bounced back from a 3-2 defeat against Stevenage last Tuesday when the 22-game unbeaten home record, stretching back to March, came to an end.
Victory keeps the Reds third in the table, eight points behind leaders Birmingham City and four adrift of second placed Wycombe Wanderers, and Lee added: "It's been a difficult few games with some disappointing results and performances but we all wanted to put that right and I'd like to think we did that. It was a great win."
