PHIL PARKINSON believes there is more to come from striker Mo Faal.
Brought in from West Bromwich Albion for an undisclosed fee on summer transfer window deadline day, the 21-year-old was an unused substitute for the 2-0 win at Peterborough United the following day and Saturday's 3-0 cross-border derby home victory against Shrewsbury Town which took Wrexham to the top of League One.
The Reds boss rang the changes for the Football League Trophy group game against Salford City at The Racecourse on Tuesday and Faal started in attack alongside Paul Mullin who opened the scoring in the 2-1 success with a stunning strike.
Faal, who scored 15 goals last season while on loan at League Two clubs Doncaster Rovers and Walsall, was taken off in the 78th minute and Parkinson gave his verdict on the young prospect.
"I thought Mo worked well for the team," he said.
"He probably tried too hard a couple of times like his shot from 35 yards but I think that is to be expected because he is a young lad and he is keen to show everyone how good he is.
"The more he trains with us, the better he will become.
"Mo is a good lad, he is hungry to improve and he has slotted in really well with the group."
