TOM O'CONNOR has signed a new three-year contract with Wrexham, keeping him at The Racecourse until the end of the 2026-2027 season.

Brought in from League One outfit Burton Albion in January 2022, utility player O'Connor - who can play at centre-back or in midfield - has helped the Reds clinch back-to-back promotions for the first time in the club's history.

O'Connor, who has made 80 appearances in all competitions for Phil Parkinson's side, is a product of Southampton’s academy and he also played in the third tier for Gillingham.

He had one year remaining on his previous contract but was only too happy to commit his future to Wrexham.

“I’m delighted, it’s been a great two and a half years and I’m really looking forward to seeing where this journey will go," O'Connor told the official club website.

“Everyone knows the pull of Wrexham and there’s a real feel-good factor after back-to-back promotions.

“A lot of people would jump at the chance of playing for Wrexham, so I am delighted to sign my new contract.”
