MOLD ALEX’S dreams of a trophy treble remain alive - but only after an epic fightback saw them defeat Gresford Athletic 4-1 in the North East Wales FA Cup.
Mike Cunningham’s side trailed last season’s runners-up 1-0 with less than 15 minutes of the semi-final at Airbus remaining.
Toby Gallagher-Keenan fired Athletic into an interval lead, however Danny Warren’s goal direct from a corner levelled it up 13 minutes from time.
Another from Warren had Mold ahead, before two late efforts from Jake Roberts sealed the deal.
Mold, who have already won the Cymru North Cup and all-Wales Cymru Cup, will tackle Ardal North West League title-chasers Flint Mountain in the final.
The Cymru North season finished on Tuesday night with Caersws sealing a top 10 finish with a 5-0 thrashing of bottom-of-the-table Llanidloes Town.
