FOUR-MIDABLE Holywell Town secured the Cymru North title in style in front of their own fans at the Achieve More Stadium.

The Wellmen just required a point from the home meeting with Llanidloes Town to claim the championship, but they eventually won the match 4-0 to finish three points clear of runners-up Flint Town United.

Prior to being swamped by players, team boss Johnny Haseldin told S4C's Sgorio: "It's our third season back at tier two and to win it is an unbelievable achievement."

There were nine changes to the starting XI from Monday's North East Wales FA Challenge Cup semi-final loss to Flint Mountain.

Danny Andrews, Beau Cornish and Ryan Edwards had opportunities before the hosts claimed the lead 10 minutes before half-time.

Good work from Jamie Breese and Cornish set up Myles Hart to head home.

Then, just before half-time, Ryan Edwards' terrific corner was headed in by Jake Cooke.

Holywell put the game - and the title - to bed with their third goal on 57 minutes.

Breese found the back of the net against his former club from a Ryan Edwards flick-on.

Goal number four came in stoppage time via Julian Williams.

This completed a remarkable campaign for Holywell, who lost just one league match all season.

They have only dropped two points since the turn of the year, winning 15 of their 16 matches to finish above Flint and Airbus in the final reckoning.
