WREXHAM are pulling out all the stops in their quest to finish runners-up in League Two.

Saturday's penultimate game of the campaign against local rivals Crewe Alexandra, who are closing in on a play-off spot, at Gresty Road kicks off at 12.30pm and manager Phil Parkinson isn't taking any chances.

“We will get the preparation right. It is an early kick-off so we are going overnight, we are doing it properly," said the Reds' boss.

Wrexham clinched a second promotion in a row after thrashing Forest Green Rovers 6-0 at home on Saturday and they will be joined in League One next season by Stockport County and Mansfield Town.

Stockport, who face Parkinson's men at The Racecourse on the final day, won 5-2 at Notts County on Tuesday and have been crowned champions.

Mansfield clinched automatic promotion after beating Accrington Stanley 2-1 and Nigel Clough's side have gone second in the table, above Wrexham on goal difference.

The Stags, who are battling it out with Wrexham for runners-up spot, host play-off contenders Gillingham this Saturday before heading to sixth placed Barrow on the final day.
