TWO Wrexham players have been named in the League Two Team of the Season.

Goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo has been given a place in the starting 11 of best players in the division along with playmaker Elliot Lee.

Okonkwo has been in fantastic form since joining Wrexham on a season-long loan from Premier League giants Arsenal and kept his 15th clean sheet in all competitions on Saturday as Phil Parkinson's men thrashed Forest Green Rovers 6-0 at The Racecourse to secure a second promotion in a row.

Lee, the only Wrexham player who has featured in every league game this term, opened the scoring in the victory to take his tally to 16 goals for the season.

There could be another accolade for Lee who has been nominated for the League Two Player of the Season award.

Lee is up against Mansfield Town star Davis Keillor-Dunn, who had a brief spell at Wrexham n 2020, and Notts County’s Maltese international winger Jodi Jones for the gong.

Both of those players are also named in the League Two Team of the Season.
