THRILLING contests were the order of the day in the U12s’ League.

The pick of them has to be Buckley Town’s 7-6 victory at Mynydd Isa, who had Tomos Phoenix (2), George Clark (2), Zachary Vicker and Zachary Roberts on target. 

Zac Hayes’ four-goal haul was pivotal for Isa, who also benefited from efforts by Joshua Healey, Isaac Phillips and Kayden Ellis.

Gethin Owen’s hat-trick helped Holywell Town Comets to a 6-4 outcome at Connah’s Quay Town. Elliott Mackie, Harvey Palmer and Osian Manfredi added the others, as Olly Bennett, Harry Bunnell, Archie Hughes and Theo Tasker kept Quay interested.

Mynydd Isa United got the better of AFC Flint 3-2 thanks to Connor Dawson (2) and Owain Powell. Jacob Collins and Max Jones replied.

It was also 3-2 in the U13s’ division meeting between Hawarden and Greenfield. Adam Price, Archie Jones and Einoras Kavaliauskas won it, as Charlie Smith and Max Thomas made a real game of it.

Five-three wins were claimed by Carmel and Saltney Town, versus Mynydd Isa and Connah’s Quay Town respectively. 

Jacob Carter (2), Francis Rimmer, Finlay Merrick and Zachary Hansom sealed it for Carmel, while Harry McHugh (2), Kaiden Davies (2) and James Collins did likewise for Saltney.

Matthew Nowell (2) and George Lewis shared Mynydd Isa’s goals and Connah’s Quay’s scorers were Cameron Prescott, Declan Condron and Jack Woodward.

Alexander Davies (3), William Rosney and Harry Harvey led FC Nomads to a 5-1 outcome over Buckley Town (Zac Ellis), while Thomas Lowry, Daniel Green and Alfie Holland secured Buckley Town Wanderers’ 3-0 triumph versus AFC Flint.

Mold Alex bagged a double-figure win over battling Kinnerton Oaks (Oliver Hancock) with Archie Morgan (3), Lucas Mead (2), Gabriel Chadwick (2), Thomas Reynolds, Madoc Roberts and Charlie Reynolds on the mark.

Jayden Cheung and Oscar Burgon claimed doubles in Broughton United Super Saints’ 7-0 verdict over Mynydd Isa. Cameron Feenan, Dylan Buxton and Callum Jones also struck.

Seven U14s’ division matches produced 62 goals, with double-figure wins going the way of Buckley Town, Hawarden, Holywell Town and Mynydd Isa, versus battling Aston Park Rangers, Connah’s Quay Town, Deeside Dragons Blaze and Halkyn United (Ewan Leonard) respectively.

Cayden Moore (3), Finlay Meredith (2), Alexander Maxwell (2), Oscar Warner-Hughes, Alfie Hughes, Joshua Walmsley, Harry Croft-Smith, Adam Roberts, Eddie Callaghan and Joseph Burgess shared Buckley’s goals, while Aiden Futia grabbed a double hat-trick for Hawarden, who also had Oliver Phillips (3) and Jack Jones on the scoresheet.

Holywell’s efforts came from four-goal Joseph Catt, plus doubles by Aiden Rowe, Oscar Roberts and Tristan Brown, with Thomas Wright netting six goals for Mynydd Isa, who also had Jacob Hughes (2), Lewis Upton and Jack Winter on the mark.

Dylan Cairns, Thomas Davies and Oliver Hargreaves made sure of a 3-2 win of AFC Flint over Broughton United, who went close via Blake Wilkinson and Alex Ravenscroft.

Tristan Brown (3), Oscar Roberts (2), Bobby Poole and Rhys Carrington rubber-stamped a 7-2 success for Holywell Town over Broughton United, who had two-goal Sam Phoenix on target.

Turning to the U15s’ section and Jacob Dobson settled Broughton United’s 1-0 outcome at Deeside Dragons Fire.

Riley Wilkinson (2), Edwyn Balderstone (2), Jack Dougal and Fraser Dodd made sure of Mynydd Isa’s 6-2 success versus Holywell Town, whose goals came from Finlay Rooke-Hart.

Connah’s Quay Town got the better of Buckley Town 7-0 via braces from Oliver Tyndall, Rhys Roberts and Connor Morris-Jones, plus one from Archie Edwards.
