WREXHAM's destiny remains in their own hands after securing a crucial 2-1 comeback win against Colchester United at The JobServe Community Stadium on Saturday.

There are four games left in the quest for automatic promotion from League Two and three are at home, starting with tonight's clash with play-off contenders Crawley Town at The Racecourse when second placed Wrexham will target another victory.

1. Paul Mullin reaches 100 goal milestone.

It wasn't looking good for Wrexham who were second best and then went 1-0 down at Colchester early in the second half.

Phil Parkinson's men needed a win in the quest for a top-three finish and Paul Mullin stepped up to the plate with a timely equaliser, making it a century of goals for Wrexham in less than three full seasons.

Mullin has been a revelation since joining Wrexham and hopefully there's many more goals to come. Mullin is favourite to finish as leading scorer for a third year in a row and he is in contention to make it a hat-trick of Player of the Season awards. That's some going!

2. Four big games remaining in the run-in against teams who also have a lot at stake.

Wrexham are coming up against sides who also have a lot to play for at this crucial stage of the season.

Tonight's opponents Crawley are challenging a play-off spot and Forest Green - like Colchester last Saturday - and battling to avoid relegation, and it doesn't get much easier in the final two matches when the Reds face promotion rivals Crewe away and Stockport County at home.

It's an old cliche but Wrexham need to take it one game at a time, and victory against Crawley as well as some favourable results elsewhere really would leave Phil Parkinson's side in a strong position ahead of another big fixture this weekend.

3. How good is Max Cleworth!

Cleworth has earned the plaudits following some excellent performances in defence since returning to the side.

The 21-year-old has been one of the stand-out players in recent months and proved his worth at the other end of the pitch by scoring his first league goal at Colchester.

It turned out to be the winner and secured a massive three points in the race for promotion. Cleworth has got a bright future and he is going to have a big part to play in the journey under Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. Get him signed up on a longer contract!
