IT wouldn’t be Wrexham if they did it the easy way!
Phil Parkinson’s men could have made their position in League Two even stronger but the 1-0 midweek defeat to Doncaster Rovers meant they missed the opportunity to put more distance between themselves and the three teams below them who are challenging for automatic promotion and were all winless on Monday.
With five games remaining, the third-placed Reds can also look up because they are within touching distance of the top-two.
It’s still all to play for and there’s bound to be more twists and turns in the next three weeks.
Wrexham just need to take care of their own business and that means leaving Colchester with three points tomorrow.
Their destiny remains in their own hands at the moment and it needs to stay that way because it becomes a lot more difficult when you need to win games but also hope results elsewhere go in your favour.
The teams in the play-offs would love to be in Wrexham’s position - the Reds have to make sure they don’t get that chance.
