PROMOTION-CHASING Wrexham came up short against Doncaster Rovers who claimed a 1-0 win in the League Two clash at The Eco-Power Stadium.

Grimsby were on top in the first-half and scored the only goal in the 44th minute.

The Reds struggled to create clear cut chances but rallied late on.

Paul Mullin had a goal ruled out for offside while substitute Steven Fletcher's last-gasp header was brilliantly saved by goalkeeper Thimothee Lo-Tutala but he was rarely tested on a disappointing night for Wrexham who remain third in the table.
