NOTHING has changed as far as Will Boyle is concerned after Wrexham beat promotion rivals Mansfield Town 2-0 in the League Two top of the table clash at The Racecourse on Good Friday.

A goal in each half from Paul Mullin secured victory which keeps Phil Parkinson's men third in the table and on the same points tally as second placed Mansfield.

Leaders Stockport County are one point ahead of both sides with a game in hand while MK Dons, Barrow and Crewe Alexandra are also challenging for a top-three finish.

Wrexham have six games remaining and although it was a big win against the Stags, Boyle insists the competition for an automatic promotion place remains fierce.

"It was built up before the game from outside and rightly so at this stage of the season," said the centre-back. "We are both up there at the right end of the table competing.

"But ultimately it was three points and there are another six games to play.

"If we hadn't won or we'd have loss, we wouldn't have been down in the dumps on the floor, as I'm sure Mansfield won't be.

"It is an important win, there's no getting away from that, as they are all going to be now in the next six games.

"We have got to focus on ourselves and do our job like we did on Friday, and the rest will take care of itself.

"There's good teams at the top of the table that are going to win games and pick up points moving forward as hopefully we are."

Boyle hailed a professional display as Wrexham kept a clean sheet and produced the goods at the other end to secure a second successive win, with top scorer Mullin bagging his 19th and 20th goals of the season.

"It was a good result and I am delighted with that," said Boyle.

"It was nice to get a clean sheet, which was important and enjoyable, and it was a professional performance.

"We know Mansfield are not a bad team, they were top of the league going into today for a reason.

"We were resolute and we restricted them to not many chances, and we produced when the big moments came. We put both sides together.

"It was a big team effort. The gaffer was really clear on what was expected as a team, and people have produced.

"From the front the work-ethic was top drawer."

Boyle added: "We scored at good times. It felt comfortable but 2-0 is a dangerous scoreline as everyone knows because all it takes is one lapse in concentration or one bit of magic from them, and all of a sudden they are back in the game.

"As a team we stuck to the game-plan and produced a professional performance which was pleasing."
