WREXHAM ended their three-match losing sequence in the Adran Premier League with a fine 2-0 triumph away to Aberystwyth Town.

Brooke Cairns scored her first goal for the side and Steve Dale's secured third place in their first season back in the top flight, on a night Cardiff City secured the league title.

Following on just days after the last-gasp 3-2 loss to Swansea at the STōK Cae Ras, there was one change to the starting line-up, with Annie Small making her full debut.

Carra Jones supplied the assist for the opening goal in the ninth minute.
Jones crossed and Cairns slid in for the decisive near-post touch to make it 1-0.

Then, eight minutes before the break, Wrexham doubled their lead.

The ball dropped for Carra Jones outside the area on the left and she hit an instinctive shot across goal, over the keeper and into the far corner.

Cardiff made sure of the title with a 4-0 win over second-placed Swansea City.

In Adran North, Airbus were edged out 3-2 at Llanfair United.

Mari Edwards and Keira Hardstaff netted for the visitors.
