STEVE DALE has praised Lili Jones ahead of another big game for Wrexham women.

The curtain is coming down on the Adran Premier League season and the Reds will be aiming to halt a three-match losing sequence in tonight’s trip to Aberystwyth Town.

Midfielder Jones is sure to be a key figure once more, on the back of her stunning 40-yard strike in Sunday’s 3-2 loss to Swansea City at the STōK Cae Ras.

Wrexham boss Dale told the club’s YouTube channel: “It’s what it’s about, you know, and I think Lil’s been looking forward to this game all week and I think the way that she conducted herself on the pitch, again, for someone who’s only 18 is testament to herself and her family.

“Week in, week out, she gives everything for the badge and, you know, I’m delighted for her to score and you could see the celebrations at the end.

“It meant a lot to her sentimentally as well, so really delighted for Lil and she can hold her head high in terms of her performance today and next week, maybe, she will score and it will be a winning goal for us.”
