SUPPORTERS need not have doubted the outcome when Wrexham went ahead against Grimsby Town.

Phil Parkinson's men are one of only six teams in the top four tiers yet to lose a league game in which they have led this season.

Andy Cannon put Wrexham 1-0 up early on in the League Two clash at Blundell Park and he doubled the advantage before Paul Mullin scored a third goal just before the break, with the Mariners reducing the deficit late-on as the Reds secured a 3-1 win in the push for promotion.

Wrexham are in good company as only a handful of teams yet to lose a league match in which they have led in 2023-24.

Manchester City and Liverpool, battling it out for the Premier League title, Championship high-fliers Leeds United and another couple of League Two clubs - Gillingham and Walsall - have all avoided defeat after going ahead.
