STEVE DALE cannot wait for Wrexham women’s big return to The Racecourse!

The Reds will tackle Swansea City this Sunday in a big Adran Premier League showdown at the STōK Cae Ras, almost 12 months on from their last appearance at the iconic venue.

Last March, goals from TJ Dickens and Rosie Hughes saw Wrexham defeat Connah’s Quay Nomads 2-1 in front of a record-breaking Welsh league crowd of 9,511.

Manager Dale told the club’s YouTube channel: “Wish the game was tomorrow, really, you know, so we can put that to bed and crack on, because I think even last week (at Swansea), we put a lot into that performance and probably deserved a draw out of the game.

“So, we were coming into the week of training a little bit disappointed that we didn’t actually get anything from that game.”

The Reds were pipped 3-2 by Swansea on that occasion, while they were beaten 6-1 by league leaders Cardiff City in their last run-out.

Dale added: “So, this is a perfect example now of just dusting ourselves down and cracking on and it will be a fantastic occasion to play at the STōK Cae Ras in front of so many fans and we’re gunning to put things right now and crack on and make sure that we get a better result next weekend.”
