IT’S sure to be a super Sunday for Wrexham women.
The Reds, flying high in the top-three of the Adran Premier League, will return to the STōK Cae Ras for their showdown with second-placed Swansea City.
It will be the first time Steve Dale’s side have appeared at the iconic venue since more than 9,000 fans attended the Adran North encounter with Connah’s Quay Nomads 12 months ago.
Goals from TJ Dickens and Rosie Hughes fired Wrexham to a 2-1 win and they lifted the Adran North trophy after the conclusion of the contest.
Wrexham will head into the weekend on the back of a 6-1 defeat at the hands of leaders Cardiff City, but boss Dale says there were positives from his side’s promising showing.
He told the club’s YouTube channel: “I might sound daft saying it, but there’s a lot to take out of it and, you know, anyone looking in from the outside, looks like we’ve been absolutely pasted.
“But, no, I can’t fault the girls for a large period of that game.
“So, we take it on the chin and we move forward, looking forward to next week now.”
