IN a month where the majority of matches are at home, Wrexham need to get it right on their travels to remain on track for automatic promotion in League Two.

Four of the six games in March are at fortress Racecourse and the first was a comfortable 4-0 win when Phil Parkinson’s men blew Accrington Stanley away in the first half on Saturday.

Results elsewhere were largely favourable and the table is still pleasing on the eye following Tuesday’s fixtures when the third-placed Reds got a well-earned breather.

A lot has been said about Wrexham’s away form and it will be put under scrutiny tomorrow when they face play-off contenders Morecambe at The Mazuma Stadium.

It promises to be a tricky test, regardless of previous results on the road this season, but the players will be brimming with confidence after turning on the style against Stanley and having a week to recharge the batteries.

Wrexham thrashed Morecambe 6-0 in November’s reverse fixture but I’d settle for a narrow win this weekend to give the away form a boost and keep Wrexham on course for a top-three finish.
