PAUL MULLIN hopes former club Morecambe are sick of the sight of him once again tomorrow evening!

Wrexham, who sit third in League Two, continue the promotion challenge with a clash against the Shrimps at The Mazuma Stadium.

Phil Parkinson's men registered their best result of the season in the reverse fixture when Mullin scored a hat-trick in the 6-0 victory in November.

Before joining the Reds, Mullin also put Morecambe to the sword on his way to being awarded the League Two Golden boot in Cambridge United's 2020–21 promotion campaign.

The frontman bagged both goals in a 2-1 home win and fired home a hat-trick when Cambridge triumphed 5-0 at Morecambe.

That makes it eight goals in Mullin's last three games against his former employers and the 29-year-old is looking to continue his hot streak tomorrow.

"I am looking forward to going to Morecambe," said the Reds' leading scorer who bagged a hat-trick in last Saturday's 4-0 win over Accrington Stanley and now has 16 goals this term.

"It is an old club of mine so hopefully we go there and do well.

"My record against them in the last three games is good!

"I think I have scored eight goals so hopefully I can add to that."

Wrexham endured a frantic February when the games came thick and fast but after starting this month with a win against Accrington, Parkinson welcomed not having a midweek fixture.

It also gave Mullin, who has been carrying a knock, the chance to have a welcome breather but he says the hamstring injury has not affected him too much.

"I have had it for a couple of months," he said.

"Not so much a hamstring problem, it is coming from my back.

"It is not something that bothers me once I'm playing, the adrenalin wears it off straight away so I don't really feel it too much when I'm out on the pitch.

"It is something I am going to take care of but hopefully it doesn't affect how I play."

Wrexham, looking for an improvement in the away form, boast the best home record in the division and the Reds have back-to-back matches at The Racecourse against Harrogate, on Tuesday, and Tranmere next Saturday after facing Morecambe.

"The Racecourse is massive for us," added Mullin.

"The fans turn out in their numbers every week, whether it is home or away, but there is something special about this place.

"Every time we go out on the pitch, we feel like we can beat anybody in the world.

"Sometimes you feel that if you kick the ball towards the goal, it will go in; the fans will suck it in for us.

"It is going to be massive for us coming towards the end of the season but we are going to take it one game at a time like we did last year and the year before, and hopefully we are successful.

"Our aim is to try and win as many games and get as many points as possible coming to the end of the season, and we will look at the table then."
