SUPPORTERS are backing Wrexham to clinch a top-three finish despite struggling on their travels this season.

Phil Parkinson's side boast the best home record in League Two but Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Gillingham was the sixth loss away of the campaign, with Wrexham scoring only 15 goals in 17 matches on the road in 2023-24.

There are 13 games remaining in the quest for a second successive promotion, starting with tomorrow night's trip to Forest Green Rovers, and although fans are concerned with the away form they believe the Reds can finish the job off.

They were asked if Wrexham's away form will cost them a top three place or will the Reds’ brilliant home form be enough for automatic promotion from League Two, and here are their answers.

J GLYNDWR: "We will have enough to finish top three. Our home form will do the heavy lifting with our away form being dragged along kicking and screaming."

WRUBY SLIPPERS: "For me, it's not either/or. Winning at home by itself won't be enough, but I don't think we're doomed by our away form yet. The players will have to dig deep for results, but I believe they'll be in the top three at the end of the season."

GRAHAM MALONEY: "We'll just be ok. When we need to pick up those away points, confident we will do so!"

DAVE KEIGHLEY: "Yes I think it will, I think performances at home isn’t what it was too and we have to play the top two yet. But we can just as easily click Tuesday and score a few. We can’t have this many key players out of form at same time for this long!"

QUACKERS: "I said at the beginning of Feb this month would shape our season with five away games. Away form and performances has been poor all season and 16 away goals says it all."

ED JONES: "I think we'll improve our away form and that'll get us over the line."

AL NASH: "I think Wrexham will hit high gear, 13 games to go. No cup interference. Time to focus. Seven home games, possible 21 points, surely a win at Forest Green and Morecambe will boost those points to 27, hopefully results for the other teams will help too. I'm quietly confident."

GARETH COLLINS: "I feel a small improvement in away form is needed to make absolutely sure. If we only pick up a single point in total from Forest Green and Morecambe away then we'll probably finish fourth. Anything better than that and we'll be okay. Fine margins."

PAUL JONES: Our away form needs to pick up or yes, it will cost us. We've seven home and six away games left and some tough games too. Winning breeds confidence, so six bad away results could impact massively on us."

DAZ HOOSON: If it carries on the way it has been, yes."

BRIAN ROBERTS: "Six wins at home will leave us needing about nine points on our travels, this squad should be capable of achieving that."

BOB DAVIES: "Question should be what changes first, Wrexham stop being great at home or start winning away. The massive gap between the two has to narrow at some stage."

MEDWYN EDWARDS: "It's lack of goals, home and away, that will cost us promotion."

ACH56: "Be glad to see the end of February. L3 W2 D1 not promotion form. Lots of travelling, need something from FG game. Mullin form big concern, but form is temporary class is permanent. Needs to start Tuesday if 100 per cent fit, get on the scoresheet and more will follow to get us promoted."

RECNEPS: "Yes, I am afraid it will cost us dearly."

EMMA ROBERTS: "I think we have played better away but still not up to standard, we need Palmer and Mullin upfront, they had the best partnership."

SUPERSUB: "Sooner or later the manager has to take responsibility for the away ‘displays’. Chopping and changing every game, his reluctance to change could cost him and us an amazing season back in the EFL. He just adopts the same approach every game, 3-5-2 doesn’t work all the time."

WREXHAM THE DRAGONS: "What I don't understand is why are we not playing Ollie Palmer alongside Mullin? It's worked in the past, so why not now in our hour of need! This chopping and changing of the team can't be good for team morale, I feel it will cost us a top three finish."

ME, THE WIFE AND WREXHAM AFC PODCAST: "The away form at the moment is concerning, but the last two games have certainly shown improvement, even if we haven’t got the goals needed to win the games. Hopefully three points on Tuesday will give us something to build on for the rest of the season. We have a real chance for top three."

PHIL: In Parky we trust, got us promoted and brought some absolute ballers in. We will be fine. People are far to fickle."

BEARDY: "My worry is with the run of away games we have, will confidence take a knock before our home matches?"
