PHIL PARKINSON won't dwell on another away defeat and says his side will be ready to put things right against lowly Forest Green Rovers at The New Lawn this evening.

Wrexham head to Gloucestershire on the back of Saturday's 1-0 loss at Gillingham when the Reds saw a lot of the ball but lacked a cutting edge in the final third.

Despite dropping out of the automatic promotion places, Wrexham will move back up to third place with a win at second bottom Rovers, and be just one point behind joint leaders Mansfield Town and Stockport County.

Parkinson is expecting a response from the Reds against Rovers who are four points adrift of safety.

"There were big moments against Gillingham where we could have got back in it or got ahead but we didn't take them and we will have to address that going into Tuesday's game," said Parkinson.

"We will go to Forest Green and be ready for that.

"We are not going to get too down because the work ethic and the determination of the group was great.

"But we know we have got more to give in terms of quality and we will find it.

"Saturday was a bad day for us but we played well in large parts of the game.

"But it is turning that dominance and those key moments into goals."

The games have come thick and fast during a frantic February when Parkinson has rung the changes and he is set to freshen up the side again tonight.

"It is important when they are not playing that they respond right," he added.

"But the lads are good. I always explain every decision to the players and tell them why they are not selected and what decisions we have made but we have had a lot of midweek games and we will look to freshen the team up again on Tuesday."
