GEORGE EVANS and James Jones have not been ruled out for the rest of the season but Phil Parkinson has not set a timeline on when he expects the duo to be in line for a return to action.
The League Two promotion challenge continues with tonight's clash against lowly Forest Green Rovers at The New Lawn and Wrexham will again be without the midfield duo.
Evans sustained a glute injury in the 2-1 win at Sutton United a fortnight ago while Jones limped off with a hamstring problem when Wrexham beat Notts County 1-0 at The Racecourse 10 days ago.
The pair are facing longer spells on the sidelines than first thought but with 13 games remaining in the quest for a second successive promotion, Parkinson believes both will play some part in the final two months of the campaign.
"I expect them to play again this season but they are facing longer term injuries than we first thought," said the Reds' boss.
"We will get them both rescanned and we will know clearer when we have got those second scans."
Tom O'Connor, another midfielder who has spent the majority of the season playing as the left sided centre-back, is making good progress after suffering a slight fracture of the foot ahead of the Welsh derby defeat at Newport on January 20 but is still not pencilled in for a return.
