NOTTS COUNTY had the majority of possession but goals win games and Wrexham celebrated another big victory in the push for promotion.

Phil Parkinson's men beat the Magpies 1-0 at The Racecourse to register a second League Two win in a row and climb up to third in the table.

The visitors had spells where they put Wrexham under pressure but brilliant defending kept County at bay and Steven Fletcher's 20th minute goal was the difference between the sides.

Wrexham were a big attacking threat in the opening part of the second half and although a second goal never arrived, the Reds saw the game out and were good value for the three points.

Here's how the players rated.

ARTHUR OKONKWO: Pulled off two brilliant saves - including one in the first minute - as well as others and deserved a clean sheet. 8

RYAN BARNETT: Was a big threat down the right flank and Barnett supplied the cross for Fletcher’s goal. 8

MAX CLEWORTH: All the defenders came through the game with flying colours. 8

EOGHAN O’CONNELL: Was immense yet again as the middle centre-back, winning his challenges and distributing the ball well. 9

WILL BOYLE: Has stood up to the plate with two brilliant performances in back-to-back wins. 8

JAMES MCCLEAN: The captain did his bit at the back, got forward to supply some good crosses and nearly scored a stunner. 8

JAMES JONES: So much energy as usual and shame to see him go off injured. 8

ANDY CANNON: Replaced the injured Evans as the holding midfielder and workrate was unbelievable. 8

ELLIOT LEE: Came close to a goal when Wrexham were more of an attacking threat second half. 7

PAUL MULLIN: Didn’t score but toiled away and the defending started from the front. 7

STEVEN FLETCHER: Is still a class player at the age of 36 and he proved that with well-taken winner. Link-up play was superb. 8
