IT was a game Wrexham should have won but the poor run goes on.

Phil Parkinson's side went down 1-0 to Bradford City at The Racecourse as the promotion challenge took another dent.

This was the fourth successive defeat with three of those coming in League Two, leaving the Reds fifth in the table and nine points behind leaders Stockport County with a game in hand.

Wrexham dominated the game but a lack of quality with balls in the box and not being ruthless enough in the area meant the Reds came up short, and it needed a penalty save from Arthur Okonkwo late in the game to keep the Reds in the contest.

But Bradford produced an act of smash and grab by scoring a 90th minute winner and there was no way back after that.

Here's how the players rated:

ARTHUR OKONKWO: Had a decent game and penalty save kept Wrexham on level terms until Bradford struck in the 90th minute. 7

RYAN BARNETT: Was a big attacking threat down the right flank all game. 7

AARON HAYDEN: It was going so well for Hayden but he gave the penalty away. 7

BEN TOZER: Was turned too easily for Bradford’s goal. 6

EOGHAN O’CONNELL: Was solid defensively on his return to the team and supplied some superb long passes. 7

JAMES MCCLEAN: Got forward to support attacks but the final ball was not always up to scratch. 6

ANDY CANNON: Had a good first half but tailed off after the break. 7

GEORGE EVANS: A lot of the play came through Evans, particularly in the first half. 7

ELLIOT LEE: Had a brilliant chance to score but he headed wide in the second half. 6

PAUL MULLIN: Lacked service and struggled to get into the game. 6

STEVEN FLETCHER: Did his best to make things happen but needed more help. 7

SUBSTITUTES

SAM DALBY: Didn’t have any chances after replacing Fletcher. 5

LUKE BOLTON: Showed glimpses of his speed down the right. 5

JACK MARRIOTT: Came on too late to make much of an impact. 5

JAMES JONES: Fresh legs in midfield. 5

JACOB MENDY: A late substitute. 5
