STRIKER Jack Marriott has joined Wrexham from Fleetwood Town for an undisclosed fee.

The 29-year-old has arrived on a deal which will keep him at The Racecourse until the end of the 2024/25 season.

On signing for Wrexham, he told the official club website: “I’m really pleased to be here and happy to get the deal over the line.

“The club’s performances, the way they play as a team is a real key factor for me signing and the trajectory that the Club is going in is something that I want to be involved in and I’m absolutely

delighted to be here.”

Marriott came through the youth ranks at Ipswich Town, before making his professional debut for the club against Burnley in 2013.

He then had a spell at Luton Town, where he won both their young player and player of the season awards, as well as becoming their top scorer in his first year with the Hatters.

That success earned him a move to Peterborough United and his time there included more individual honours, such as featuring in the PFA Team of the Year after scoring 27 goals in League One for the Posh during the 2017-18 campaign, earning him the League One Golden Boot award.

Marriott also secured Derby County a place in the 2019 Championship Play-Off Final after scoring two crucial goals in the semi-final against Leeds United.

Since departing Pride Park, he returned to the Posh on a three-year deal, before signing for Fleetwood Town in January 2023 and he has been a regular for the League One outfit this season.

Manager Phil Parkinson added: "We’re really pleased to bring Jack to the Club.

"He’s got proven experience at a higher level and comes to us looking to make a real contribution in our second half of the season.”
