SECOND half goals by strike duo Steven Fletcher and Paul Mullin secured a 2-0 victory against AFC Wimbledon at The Racecourse.

The Reds were far from their best in the opening period but stepped up a gear after the break to continue the winning start to 2024.

Phil Parkinson's side climbed up to second in the table, two points behind leaders Stockport County with a game in hand.

Here's how the players rated.

ARTHUR OKONKWO: Largely untested but did what was asked of him and kept a clean sheet. 7

ANTHONY FORDE: The wing-back did okay but has offered more going forward. 6

MAX CLEWORTH: Had a brilliant game as he made some timely interceptions and saved Wrexham a few times. 8

BEN TOZER: Second half slip wasn’t costly and the Reds’ defence kept lively Wimbledon at bay. 6

TOM O’CONNOR: Continues to impress as the left-sided centre-back and had a good game. 7

JAMES MCCLEAN: Was a threat down the left flank, particularly in the second half when Wrexham improved, and had the assist for the both goals. 7

ANDY CANNON: Worked hard throughout and was forced off late on with head injury. 6

GEORGE EVANS: Is proving to be an excellent signing. His all-round game is superb. 7

ELLIOT LEE: Came much more into the game in the second half and asked questions of Wimbledon. 6

STEVEN FLETCHER: Opened the scoring with a brilliant volley and also played a huge part in Mullin’s goal. 8

PAUL MULLIN: Quiet game but give him a chance and he will take it - and he did. 7
