CALUM MCINTYRE has been reflecting on home comforts after Chester grabbed a 1-0 midweek success over Brackley Town to move within sight of the National League North play-off spots.
George Glendon’s first half penalty settled it for the Blues, who were playing their first home game in the league since the 2-0 win over Scunthorpe on October 21
Boss McIntyre told Chester FC TV: “For us to be winning the games we are at home, have a really good points return - I think that’s 19 points from eight games - that’s really, really impressive.
“That’s a good return and these nights, these one-nils against sides that will be at the right end of the league, should be at the right end of the league and definitely will be - some really good players for the level - they become really important wins.
“Aspects of our performance we want to be better, that’s who we want to be, but certainly pleased to be back at home and putting three points on the board.”
