PHIL PARKINSON will rest players against Burton Albion tonight but it will still be a strong side as Wrexham aim to progress in another cup competition.
The Reds’ boss made wholesale changes for group games in the EFL Trophy and will adopt the same policy for the second round tie with League One outfit Burton at The Racecourse.
But such is the strength in depth in the Wrexham squad, when players like Jordan Davies, Luke Young and Will Boyle are called upon then Parkinson is still able to name a very good team that will stand a good chance of reaching the last 16.
It’s not just some of the more established players who have made the most of their chance in the EFL Trophy. Goalkeeper Luke McNicholas played the last two group games and produced accomplished performances, showing that he looks one for the future.
Some clubs might not take the competition seriously but Parkinson does and whatever side he selects, he wants Wrexham to get through.
There was an FA Cup win to celebrate on Sunday and Wrexham can repeat that feat with home advantage this evening.

WREXHAM 2 BURTON ALBION 0 RICHARD WILLIAMS
