ANDY CANNON wants the same again from Wrexham and himself at Harrogate Town tonight.

Phil Parkinson's side bounced back from the 2-0 defeat to Accrington Stanley by thrashing Morecambe 6-0 at The Racecourse on Saturday.

It was a superb performance from start to finish and Cannon says the Reds, up to second in League Two, need to produce the goods again at Weatherby Road.

"We needed to bounce back after last weekend and we did that," said the midfielder.

"Every man was superb and 6-0 is a great result.

"We played some great football, got a couple of early goals, and played really well.

"Everyone was class but there is no point in putting a performance like that together and result if we don't back it up on Tuesday.

"We have got to go to Harrogate with the right mentality, put on another performance like that and hopefully get the win."

Cannon impressed on his return to the side and although happy with his display, the 27-year-old knows he must continue playing well to keep his place in the team.

"You just try to do the best you can every time you play because you know that someone is behind you wanting the spot as well," he added.

"When you come in, you have got to take your chance.

"Competition is good because it keeps you on your toes; if you don't perform, you are not going to play.

"You have got to be consistent with your performances and try to play as well as you can because you know there is someone there to take your spot if you don't."
