IT was a bad day at the office as Wrexham lost 2-0 against Accrington Stanley as the 11-game unbeaten run came to an end.
Two second half goals condemned the Reds to a first defeat since the end of September, and just a third loss in 18 League Two outings this season.
The game hung in the balance at the break and although a controversial penalty put Accrington ahead, Phil Parkinson's men never got going and a second goal sealed their fate.
Here's how the players rated.
ARTHUR OKONKWO: Failed to hold a shot as Accrington made it 2-0 but it was a rare mistake, 5
ANTHONY FORDE: The wing-back offered some attacking threat on an otherwise poor day for Wrexham. 6
AARON HAYDEN: Not his usual self as poor touches let him down. 5
BEN TOZER: Wrexham struggled with Accrington’s physicality in the second half and the game got away from them. 5
TOM O’CONNOR: Went off at half-time. 5
JORDAN DAVIES: Filled in at left wing-back and saw a controversial penalty decision go against him. 5
JAMES JONES: Wasteful in the first half and it was tough going after the break for the Reds. 5
GEORGE EVANS: Has been a presence in midfield but Accrington bossed the second half when it was still all to play for. 5
ELLIOT LEE: By his own admission in interview afterwards, set-pieces could have been better but Wrexham were poor all-round. 5
SAM DALBY: It was an even first half but Wrexham never showed up after the interval. 5
PAUL MULLIN: Hit the crossbar in the first half and also missed penalty deep into stoppage time with a chance to pull a goal back. 5
SUBSTITUTES
WILL BOYLE: Came on for second half. 5
OLLIE PALMER: Another attacking option which Wrexham needed. 5
JAKE BICKERSTAFF: Introduced when Parkinson made triple substitution. 5
ANDY CANNON: The game was lost when brought on. 5
LIAM MCALINDEN: Took over from Davies at left wing-back. 5
